Dr. Schening worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Rockford Memorial and as a Clinical Pediatrician in the Rockford Health Systems. She began her own practice in 2005 and has been expanding it ever since. She has completed CEHD Homeopathy courses.
Dr. Schening received the Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award from the Academy of Pediatrics in 2009 for her outstanding work with foster children. That year she also received the Sherman Hospital Community Service Award. In 2013 and 2015, she received the Favorite Pediatrician Award from Advocate Sherman Hospital. Dr. Schening was on the Board to get Advocate Sherman Breastfeeding Friendly status. She is currently Chair of the pediatric department at Advocate Sherman Hospital
Dr. Schening loves to educate her patients and their families on the importance of physical, environmental, emotional, mental, social, and spirtual well-being. In her down time, Dr. Schening is busy spending time with her husband and three children and their various activities. She is very active in her church and is the chairperson for the preschool at her church. She loves being a pediatrician and watching all her patients grow into their own independent individuals.
